Perspectivization TLX-MXThis channel hosts a number of academic lectures with world-class leading researchers, who share their respective approaches to different problems of science. The kickoff motive of this channel was the analysis of "The meaning of meaning" within the field of linguistics; yet, we have expanded our horizons to neighboring fields, such as cognitive neuroscience. "Perspectivization" is a term we have taken from linguist Ronald Langacker; yet, we do not use it in its linguistic technical sense (as understood in Cognitive Grammar), but as a way to reflect the purpose of this channel, which is to present the different views of different researchers around the world regarding language or any other relevant scientific domain. Bliss Station: Cognitive Linguistics & MoreWelcome to my channel. My name is Sergio Sánchez Padilla. I am a passionate humanist who wishes to discuss our greatest bliss: Language. It is my hope that you can join in the conversation and that we can discover together "who and what we become when we use a language" from the point of view of Cognitive Linguistics (which is my field of specialization). I am also extremely passionate of Cognitive Neurolinguistics. So, expect to watch some materials related to this relatively new science as well in the future. Moreover, I am an English as a foreign language teacher. Thus, I will also upload videos having to do with how I apply Cognitive Linguistics to this latter profession. It is my most sincere hope that you will find something here that helps you broaden and deepen your conception of language and cognition, and how these shape who you are (being) and how you experience your day-to-day living.
